Young people from Torun on the forefront of the competition the Panasonic Kid Witness

Panasonic has announced the completion of the first stage of the competition on the national coverage of the Panasonic Kid Witness News 2010/2011.

Organized in Poland for 7 years contest is open to middle school adolescents. This year the jury felt that the winners of the first stage are the author's outline, "The third tree of life" from High School No. 29 in Wrocław.

In the seventh edition of the Polish edition of the Panasonic Kid Witness News to assess received a total of 79 proposals from 53 high schools from across the Polish. Record this year, when it comes to the number of reported synopses, was Academic Gymnasium from Torun, which were received as many as 11 outlines. The second terms of the number of submitted ideas was the No. 3 Middle School in the town, which were received seven proposals, and the third Middle School No. 2 Kartuzy where you received 5 ideas. In the current edition of the students had a choice of three environmental issues: 1) Biodiversity, 2) The protection of the environment, 3) Climate change.


The project aims to familiarize youth with the art of reportage, the film and draw attention to important social problems. Arts Foundation of Art-House Bydgoszcz is the guardian of the merits of the competition in Poland. It also runs workshops to prepare youth for independent work on the implementation of films, learn how to work with cameras and film montage.

Recall that last year the Polish stage of the Panasonic Kid Witness gimanazjaliści Toruń won the Middle School No. 6 for the reportage in Torun "Mentality". Feature has been appreciated by the jury for a creative approach to the subject, the way film productions, as well as skilful transfer knowledge, humor and original costume scene. Young filmmakers from the Middle School No. 6. Siberian exiles in Torun, the issue presented in the context of environmental health in different cultures over the centuries. The film "mentality" of thoughtful and humorous way of exposing the hypocrisy of contemporary developed societies, which in the name of your own convenience, to allow the inexcusable waste of natural resources.
