Another attraction for tourists – that might as well interest the people of Toruń – came to exist at Toruń’s Old Town Square.

Today we officially started the sale at the information point of Toruń 2016 located on a special stand near by the western wall of Toruń’s Old Town Hall (opposite the post Office). The merchandise relates to Toruń’s candidacy for the European Capital of Culture 2016, as well as to other Toruń’s cultural institutions and events such as Skyway light festival, Tofifest film festival or Artus Court Cultural Centre. You can choose between posters, folders, mugs, pens or soucers bearing the logo of Toruń 2016. The stand is open every day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

European volunteers

Since June 15th Motyka, the Association for The Impossible in Toruń, hosts four volunteers from Greece, Georgia, France and Spain in the European Voluntary Service (EVS), funded by the Youth in Action (EVS).

Volunteers will be in Toruń for six months to support activities taking place in the association and cultural institutions such as Torun 2016, CoCA, House of the Muses and Artus Court. Their tasks include promoting the European voluntary service, presenting their culture and country, helping with projects, workshops, youth exchanges, as well as taking part in meetings and discussions with young people on topics of interest to them. In addition, volunteers will develop their ideas about art and culture.

French music evening

“Europe-Toruń. Music and Architecture 2010” Festival invites you to attend another concert in the series. This time it is an evening with French music and takes place on July 31st with Philippe Bernold headlining the show.
