Opera will help you spend New Year’s Eve

The most beautiful works of Verdi, Moniuszko, Bizet, Rossini, Puccini and Donizetti will be presented during the Opera Gala taking place on November 6th in the main university concert hall.

Apart from The Symphonic Orchestra of Toruń two solists will be presented – Aleksandra Kubas and Jarosław Bodakowski. Those who will buy tickets for this event will be able to win three free invitations for New Year’s Eve concerts organized by the Orchestra.

Programme Director position

The municipal culture institute TORUŃ 2016 is looking for a Programme Director. His/her responsibility will be to coordinate all the actions related to the implementation of the cultural and social projects of the institution, until the end of the year 2016.

The deadline for application is December 7, 2009.

Radio journalist with a grant

Michał Słobodzian, a journalist working for Polish Radio PiK in Toruń, was awarded with a grant in Jacek Stwora Grant Competition.

He got the award for his reportage covering the story of an old taxi driver, “Still ringing at 10 o’clock”. This is a yearly scholarship that will be used to help Słobodzian produce his next reportage and is a part of the National Retrospective of Radio Activity organized by The Studio of Reportage and Document of Polish Radio.
