Torun Planetary and director Łukasz Karwowski- awarded!

Next two successes of Torun. Foir director Łukasz Karwowski and Torun Planetary.

Promotional film "Torun 2016", directed by Lukasz Karwowski received honorable mention at the Film Festival PROMOCITY. Torun Planetarium received the award for Best Tourist Product 2010.

Lukasz Karwowski film was awarded in category "Films presentation at fairs and conferences." II PROMOCITY Festival was held 9 and 10 September 2010 in Gdynia. To fight for prizes stood over forty films. The decision was concerned by professional jury. Since its premiere in January, Karwowski's film watched on YouTube channel over 74 thousand. people.

Award goes also to the Planetary. It received the award for Best Tourist Product in 2010, awarded by the Polish Tourist Organization. Planetary has been operational since February 1994. During this period had over 2.5 million viewers. At this time, the Planetarium is working on another interactive exhibit called "Geodium. It will be dedicated to the Earth as a planet and will be launched in the second half of 2011

Toruń - Sound and Image

The new audio-visual "face" Thorn appeared in two new and interesting interdisciplinary projects. A virtual photo-walk called Virtualtorun.eu and sound city map named by the creators "Tonopolis".

Both projects were supported by the Torun 2016 institution.

First sound. The authors of the proposed extraordinary "sound walk" by Torun. The project includes a two-part music album and website. On the album we can hear the "sounds of the city of Toruń". Album include sounds of Torun street, train station, church bells and the sounds characteristic for the specific sites - Cosmopolis Fountain, Old Town Square, or Bydgoskie Park. The authors are: musician and artist Rafał Kołacki and Ewa & Jacek Doroszenko [www.tonopois.pl].

The second project that we want to present is Virtualtorun.eu - the biggest virtual walk across the Torun city. It consists of over 160 panoramas made with high quality. It's tour across historic streets, interiors, churches and museums [www.virtualtorun.eu].

Both projects have recently born in Torun, give us the opportunity of a modern look at Torun.

Kobranocka & SPOX!

"Kobranocka", one of the most important Polish rock bands, is celebrating its 25th annniversary. They have just released their new album called "Spox."

The material contained on the disc is dominated by "live" instruments. This is a solid guitar punk'n'roll with intelligent texts, hard structure, and rhymes. Its subjects juggle around the sphere of emotional-love and social reality. Apart from melancholy ballads to rock "Spox!" you can hear punk'n'roll.

This is the best sounding album in the history of the band - this album is simply very good. This is the result of many hours spent in the mixing of the material, and an uncompromising choice of instruments.

Promotion starts from the single and clip "Intimate Life of Ants" (with actor Bartłomiej Topa - known for the films Wojciech Smarzowski).
