Art and jewelry

Exlibris and amber will be the topic of an exhibition of works by Marek Głowacki i Eryk Popkiewicz that will be opened on December 4th, at 6 PM, in The Bourgeois Manor.

As one of the authors said:

“Art and jewelry have a lot in common. Eryk Popkiewicz’s amber works and my exlibris share at least on thing – our source material is wood. Both need precision and both of them look interesting, having their own character”.

The exhibition will be opened until December 13th.

Disparates in concert and on CD

“Fafaberie” – this is the title of the debut record by Disparates band. On December 4th they will play in the „Od Nowa” club. Tickets won’t cost you a dime!

The album will be released in February 2010 and will be promoted by a spring tour. It is worth to mention that the CD will be available in regular stores as it is not such a common thing today. The music itself is a blend of heavy guitar sounds, klezmer accordion, jazzy trumpet and some horns. Bartłomiej Kulik – Globtrotter, poet and guitarist – wrote lyrics for Disparates’ music.

December concert in “Od Nowa” will sum up Disparates’ latest activities. It will also feature a couple of interesting guests performing on stage.
