The band Pustki to receive Ciechowski Award

The Ciechowski Award given by the City of Toruń to young artist that are inspired by different fields of art will go to a band called Pustki.

The award committee was impressed with high standards of Pustki’s music and the way they base their songs on Polish poetry. The ceremony of handing the award will take place December 19th during Grzegorz Ciechowski Memorial Concert in Club Od Nowa in Toruń.

Actress from Toruń nominated for a prestigious award!

A prestigious Zbyszek Cybulski 2009 Award directed towards young and talented Polish actors has two important accents connected with Toruń.

A special award will be given to Toruń-born Bogusław Linda – an actor famous for his roles in both, dramas and action movies. Also, a nomination to the award went to Magdalena Czerwińska – another person from Toruń, young actress awarded with this year’s Flisak Tofiefest Award. We can support Magdalena by voting for her in an on-line poll at www.NagrodaCybulskiego.pl. The poll lasts November 30th.

The Rusz Gallery on the cover of „Przekrój”

The healing hand of the Rusz Gallery – this is what you can see on the cover of the newest issue of „Przekrój” magazine.

Gallery’s piece, titled “This hand heals – just as much as other lying psychoterapies”, is connected with this issues leading article that talks about very popular psychoterapies that are fake and do not work. This cover presentation is a nice accent of this year’s 10th anniversary that the gallery is celebrating with its “Art Moves” International Billboard Art Festival.
